Popcorn开源项目被Github关闭
GitHub 在收到美国电影协会提交的DMCA（数字千年版权法Digital Millennium Copyright Act） 删除通知后，关闭了开源电影播放器Popcorn。Popcorn Time 支持 Windows、Mac OS X、Linux 操作系统，支持在线播放，以及搜索和分类影片功能。播放前，Popcorn Time 会提示用户所在国家版权问题，责任自负，播放过程中会自动做种，整合了 BT 下载和流媒体播放器。Popcorn本身并不包含任何侵权内容，但作为工具从另一个角度帮助了用户访问侵权的材料。

美国电影协会 (MPAA) 控告 Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) 要求其将 Popcorn Time 核心中基于 BitTorrent 的视频流项目从代码库中删除，包括 "popcorn-official" 和 "time4popcorn" 项目已经从 Github 删除，而原始的 Popcorn Time 库依然保留。
Popcorn Time 是一个多平台、免费和开源的媒体播放器，可用来免费播放一些订阅的视频流，包括 Netflix，可播放盗版电影。
该项目已经被其最初的开发者放弃，但很快由其他团队迅速接手并不断完善，目前已经提供包括 Linux、Windows、OS X 和 Android 版本。
MPAA 在要求 Github 删除该项目时候称：我们希望 Github 能协作删除电影和电视节目侵权软件，包括 Popcorn Time, 和 Time4Popcorn.
Github 在收到请求后三个小时内移除了两个项目，但其网站依然可用。此次的删除操作看似会对该软件的开发有所影响，但无法完全清除。

Popcorn Time 不对任何盗版内容负责，因为它实际上并没有托管任何内容。相反该软件通过文件共享系统 —— BitTorrent，提供了一种访问托管在其他计算机上的内容的方法。在内容呈现方面，它会以海报墙的形式展现所有内容，而且用户可以在线观看，就跟如今的各种流媒体服务所带来的体验基本一致。
PopCorn Time 的迅速崛起也吸引了美国电影协会（MPAA）的注意，对它展开的法律行动也接踵而至。正因如此，在过去 7 年时间里，Popcorn Time 多次出现关闭和重启。
Popcorn Time 在官网放出了一张 Google 搜索趋势图表，从中可以看出，虽然在刚推出之时获得了大量的搜索，但从 2016 年左右开始，受欢迎程度急剧下降，并从此一蹶不振。可能正是在这样的趋势，以及潜在的法律诉讼下，开发者最终做出了关闭 Popcorn Time 的决定。

Popcorn Time 曲线回归，复仇开始！
由于受到好莱坞的挑战，前两天 Popcorn Time 宣布死亡（详情）。不过复仇行动开始了，另外一个相同的项目 Popcorn Time 出来了，它使用的是 trakt.tv 来获取额外的电影元数据，包括封面海报、背景图片、简介以及运行时数据。在项目的所有权更改后，以前的用户体验将回归。
目前新的项目发布了 0.2.7 版本，支持跨平台。

Dependencies
You will need nodejs and grunt:

Install the node modules:
